EI Teaches Indexing Basics

April Michelle Davis taught Indexing Basics September 17 through October 29 through the Editorial Freelancers Association. April Michelle teaches this course completely in 7 weeks beginning with the fundamentals and theory of indexing all the way through actually writing an index on a live book. The testing for this course is done using the three top index software programs in the industry.

This course is for indexers of all levels because it helps to answer questions such as, When you let your eyes glance through the pages of a book’s index, do you sometimes ponder why some words or phrases are included? Do you wish that you could have provided input or even written the index? April Michelle wrote the course text and now is teaching the material.
