The second edition of A.S.P.E.N. Parenteral Nutrition Handbook is an interdisciplinary quick reference on parenteral nutrition (PN). There’s something for everyone involved in caring for patients receiving PN therapy, from the novice to the advanced practitioner. This edition features 10 chapters and presents PN information in line with the ‘A.S.P.E.N. Parenteral Nutrition Safety Consensus Recommendations’ and the ‘;A.S.P.E.N. Clinical Parenteral Nutrition Ordering, Order Review, Compounding, Labeling, and Dispensing’. The handbook also contains sections on order review, compounding, and drug shortage management.
April Michelle Davis spent a few weeks writing the index for this book. While computers and software programs can write a concordance, only trained individuals can write an index. April Michelle, a trained indexer, read the page proofs of the publication and wrote an alphabetical list of references based on the terms and concepts explored in the text. April Michelle selected, grouped, and consolidated page references under main headings and subheadings, and wrote cross-references to guide the readers to specific information.
